PNP: Long holidays generally peaceful

“Only” 48 untoward incidents recorded, PNP says

(Eagle News)–The long holidays have generally been peaceful, the Philippine National Police said, even as it recorded 48 untoward incidents.

Bulalacao said in a radio interview on Sunday that most of the 48 incidents recorded were drowning incidents.

He said there were  theft incidents, and vehicular accidents, among others.

“Mas mababa ngayon (ang insidente kaysa nakaraang taon),” he said.

He attributed the decrease in incidents to police visibility.

According to Bulalacao, 33,385 policemen were deployed to police assistance centers in the National Capital Region.
