The mastermind in the killing of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija Mayor Ferdinand Bote has been identified, the police said.
Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde said the name was given to police by the two suspects–Florencio Suarez and Robert Gumacay—who were arrested on Wednesday, July 11.
Suarez and Gumacay were nabbed after the Toyota Avanza they were on was intercepted in a checkpoint in Camarines Sur.
A pistol was allegedly recovered from the two.
“Yung binanggit niyang tao we cannot name it right now. He is a subject of our manhunt,” Albayalde said.
Bote was shot on July 3 after he left the National Irrigation Administration in Cabanatuan City.
His killing came a day after Tanauan, Batangas Mayor Antonio Halili was killed as he was presiding over the city’s flag-raising ceremony.
