PNP rescues poultry owner kidnapped from CamSur last year

(Eagle News) — The Philippine National Police has announced the rescue of Francis Maulion who had been kidnapped in November last year.

In a press conference on Monday, PNP Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa said the businessman had been abducted by several armed men from his poultry farm in Barangay Manguring, in Calabanga, Camarines Sur.

Dela Rosa also presented to the media five men who he said were Maulion’s abductors.

The police chief returned to Maulion’s family the ransom money intended for Maulion’s release.

According to media reports, Maulion was abducted at 2:35 p.m. on November 23 by three to five armed men wearing bonnets.

The men forced Maulion to board an L300, with plate number ZGN-204.

The van was later found abandoned in Barangay Lugsad.
