(Eagle News) — Philippine National Police spokesperson Colonel Roderick Alba has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Alba, this was based on PNP Health Service test results that came out on Tuesday, Jan. 11.
Alba said he was experiencing flu symptoms, including a dry cough, runny nose with phlegm, and body pains.
He said he was so far in quarantine at the Kiangan Emergency and Treatment Facility in Camp Crame.
“I am now focusing on my immediate recovery,” he said.
Earlier, PNP Chief Dionardo Carlos confirmed he tested positive for COVID-19.
The PNP has so far reported 43,992 COVID-19 cases among its personnel, with the addition of 537 new cases.
