QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa said that he would ask President Rodrigo Duterte’s permission before furnishing the Commission on Human Rights the case folders on those who were killed in the administration’s war on drugs.
Dela Rosa said that while the PNP would cooperate with the CHR, which is looking into the deaths, it still needs the President’s permission because all investigations into drug-related killings pass through him.
“That is our intention but ‘yun nga in deference to the instruction ni Presidente na lahat ng mga investigation ay dapat may clearance sa kanya,” he said.
