PNP welcomes results of SWS survey on war on drugs

(Eagle News)—Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde on Monday, Sept. 24, welcomed the recent Social Weather Stations survey that showed 78 percent of Filipinos were satisfied with the government’s war on drugs.

According to Albayalde, the “acknowledgment of the successful campaign against this 21st century scourge will serve to inspire and challenge us even more to wage the campaign further along with the built-in safeguards to maintain its good intentions sans irregularity or abuse.”

Albayalde also gave the assurance the police would continue to implement “innovative strategies.”

The SWS survey was based on interviews of 1200 respondents from June 27 to 30.
