PNP’s Bato alarmed over 300 cops muddled in drugs

(Eagle News)– Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa stated his distress during the Senate hearing on Tuesday about the involvement of more than 300 police personnel in illegal drug trade.

” Dela Rosa stressed.
In his presentation, Bato noted that 284 of those who were mentioned are already endorsed for transfer because of their links with illegal drugs, while 16 have been dismissed, absent without leave, or suspended. Three officers are missing.
The PNP chief expects this number would go up with the ongoing war on drugs and crime.
On the other hand, Dela Rosa thanked the concerned citizens for providing the authorities information about the illegal drug trade and other crimes.
“Kasi naging whole of nation approach na. Lahat ng communities nagsusupply na ng information,” he said.
