Poe leads nationwide Pulse Asia survey

(Eagle News) — Senator Grace Poe led Pulse Asia’s “Ulat ng Bayan” national survey on presidential candidates for the 2016 elections with 26 percent of respondents choosing her.

The administration bet Manuel “Mar” Roxas II got 20 percent, making him statistically tied at second place along with Vice-President Jejomar Binay who got 19 percent and Davao City mayor Rodrigo Duterte with 16 percnt.

The survey was conducted from Sept. 8 to 14 and covered some 2,400 respondents using face to face interviews.

Poe also appeared to be the presidential bet favored across socio-economic classes as she got high scores in classes ABC (22%), class D (26%) and class E (25%)

Poe also got the highest votes in the National Capital Region (NCR) at 26 percent, and also got the highest score in the rest of Luzon.  However, Roxas, a former Capiz congressman, got more votes from the Visayas at 34 percent.  Meanwhile, a sizeable number of respondents from Mindanao (29 %) went for Davao City mayor Duterte.
