(Eagle News) — The police have placed in their custody several suspects in the Lamitan blast in Basilan that killed several people.
A report said the suspects were members of the Abu Sayyaf Group.
The police have yet to release the identities of the suspects.
On July 31, a bomb went off near an Army detachment along the Magwakit intersection of Barangays Bulanting and Colonia, killing at least ten people.
The bomb was allegedly intended to be detonated while hundreds attended a parade in celebration of Nutrition Month.
