MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno S. Aquino III asked the Department of Transportation and Communication to heighten the security in all airports, ports and terminals in the country in the wake of the explosion in the Brussels airport. Included in the heightened security are measures like checkpoints and x-ray screening of passengers and their baggage. Also included is the increased visibility of uniformed personnel.
