(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday warned members of the Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap against occupying more housing projects not intended for them, saying they would be forcibly removed if they did it again.

“You are almost anarchists..Wag niyo ako pilitin, ayoko ng masakit..Kung ulitin ninyo at pilitin ninyong pumasok, order ko talaga paalisin kayo ng puwersa. Either batutain kayo or pagbabarilin kayo. Wag ninyo gamitin pagkamahirap ninyo to create chaos,” he said in a speech before families of soldiers killed in Marawi.

Duterte made the pronouncement after he announced he had 1000 units intended for soldiers.

Each family whose loved one was killed in Marawi, he said, would also receive P1 million from a donor who did not wish to be named.

He also said he would have a P50-billion trust fund for the children of soldiers in place before he steps down.

So far, he said he had P20 billion, half of which he reportedly would allot for housing.

“Maghintay kayo,” Duterte told the left.

He said as soon as he got hold of the Mile Long property he said was owned by the Prietos, former owners of the Inquirer, “ibuhos ko diyan (ang housing) para sa inyo.”

“Huwag ninyo gawin yan (occupy housing projects). Kasi galit ako sa inyo. Galit ako kasi gusto ninyo ako kausapin pero inaambush niyo naman ako. Tapos you claim ignorance,” he said, referring to the incident that saw a Presidential Security Group convoy ambushed by members of the New People’s Army in Arakan, North Cotabato days ago.

At least one person died and several others were injured in the incident.

In March, members of Kadamay occupied houses intended for soldiers in Bulacan.

President Duterte asked the soldiers to allow them to occupy the houses, saying he would build bigger and nicer ones for them.
