(Eagle News) –President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday announced a P5-million bounty on the head of Ozamiz Councilor Ricardo “Ardot” Parojinog.
In a speech during the 11th founding anniversary of the Eastern Mindanao Command, Duterte said the P5 million was an increase from the previous reward to be given to anyone who had information leading to Parojinog’s arrest.
Parojinog, a councilor, escaped during a police raid in his home in July.
His brother, Ozamiz Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr., who was also allegedly engaged in illegal drug activities, was killed in a police raid in his home at the same time.
“Place (Parojinog) in your arrow… I’m increasing the number, the money, the reward money on his head by P5 million,” Duterte told the policemen.
Duterte made the announcement after noting the role of the Parojinogs in the killing of four policemen in Ozamiz.
He said the remains of one of the dead were found recently.
