President Rodrigo Duterte has cancelled his scheduled visit to quake-hit Ormoc City.
The President was scheduled to visit the city on Monday, July 10 to assess the situation after a magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck Leyte province last Thursday, July 6.
But in a briefing, Sunday, July 9, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Regional Manager Alicia Nart announced the cancellation of the said visit.
There was no reason given for the postponement.
Instead of the President, some cabinet secretaries were said to be coming over to meet with members of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council or PDRRMC to discuss the rehabilitation plan and response to the damage caused by the quake.
