(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensure that private companies can do business with ease in the country.
Duterte did this as he led the launch of Azuela Cove–a 25-hectare property which Ayala Land Inc. and the Alcantara Group of Companies plan to develop into Davao’s prime waterside business and residential district.
“I assure you, the government has taken measures to ensure you can do business with ease (here),” Duterte told the audience composed mostly of members from the private sector.
Duterte also commended the Ayala and Alcantara groups for the P20-billion initiative, noting that it would generate jobs for the city and nearby areas.
The project is reportedly expected to generate 13000 jobs—5880 during the construction phase and 7120 when it is fully operational.
“May this collaboration open more opportunities and bring about prosperity and progress in Mindanao for future generations,” he said.
