(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte is set to visit the Middle East next week.
Assistant Secretary Hjayceelyn Quintana of the Department of Foreign Affairs’ Office of Middle East and African Affairs told reporters Duterte would first visit Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on April 10.
Two days later, on April 12, he is set to fly to Bahrain.
He will cap off his visit to the Middle East with a trip to Qatar on April 14 to 16.
According to Quintana, the President will meet with the leaders of each country, namely Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ,Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
The President is also expected to meet with Filipino communities in each Middle Eastern country.
He will also bear witness to the signing of various agreements, particularly on air services, agriculture, labor, health and culture, Quintana said.
