(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte is slated to meet with King Abdullah II during his official visit to Jordan from September 5 to 8.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said the President, who will become the first Philippine leader to visit Jordan, will discuss with the king “a wide range of issues of mutual concern..”
“(The) President will hold talks with King Abdullah II on broadening cooperation in key areas to advance shared aspirations for greater peace, progress and prosperity,” the DFA said.
The DFA said the President “will also meet with members of the Filipino community in Jordan, in line with the Duterte administration’s thrust of empowering Filipinos overseas and enhancing their well-being.”
