(Eagle News) — As in previous years, President Rodrigo Duterte will celebrate his 73rd birthday on Wednesday in his home in Davao.
In a statement on Tuesday, Special Assistant to the President Bong Go said the chief executive would spend time with his family.
“He has never been known to throw lavish birthday parties even when he was mayor of Davao City,” Go said.
He said “prayers from his well-wishers during his birthday would surely make (Duterte) very happy.”
As for him, he said he wished the President, whom he has served since 1998, a “long and healthy life” so he could continue to render service to the country.
“At sana mabigyan pa siya ng mas mahabang panahon upang makasama ang kanyang pamilya at mga mahal sa buhay,” Go said.
