(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday unveiled a housing project for Scout Rangers in Bulacan, reiterating his respect for the country’s soldiers who sacrifice for the country.
According to Duterte, the around 1000 housing units would be finished in December 2018, based on information provided by the National Housing Authority that supervises the construction.
“Bakit ko kayo inuna? Ang sundalo at pulis, on the average, asa delikado na sitwasyon sila everyday,” he said.
In his speech, he also reminded the soldiers about the challenges–such as drugs and terrorism—they face nowadays.
He said “we are expecting a very troubled world ahead.”
“I’m here to pay homage to mostly my soldiers,” he added.
