Prince Harry, who is on the tour to promote his charitable work in the region, had already met with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and visited various other charitable organizations on the trip to South Africa and Lesotho.
On Tuesday, Prince Harry went to the beach and met with children learning to surf as part of the Surfer Not Street Children organization that aims to rehabilitate children taken from the streets, or from a past of trauma, through surfing.
The prince’s visit thrilled the young children, who were honored that he had visited with them.
One young surfer, Vukani Ndlozi, said he was on cloud nine.
“Oh I’m so happy, I’m so stoked, I cannot, I cannot, I don’t have words to describe this feeling it’s like cloud nine. I am on cloud nine and I am so happy,” said Ndlozi.
“The prince all the way from England came to see our NGO, so it doesn’t happen to any NGO, so it must be something about us, I don’t know. It’s so special man,” he added.
Prince Harry has also been involved in several animal conservation projects during his tour of the South Africa. (Reuters)
