Public being warned of DILG and PNP posers

QUEZON CITY, PIA – The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) warns the public about a certain PCI Princess Domingo a.k.a Patricia Domingo and a certain Col. Grace Perez who are misrepresenting the department and the Philippine National Police (PNP) for purposes of soliciting money to facilitate government transactions.

DILG Sec. Mar Roxas clarified that these people are in no way connected with the DILG and the PNP. Subsequently, he ordered an investigation be conducted on the matter.

Sec. Roxas also reminded the public that the DILG and the PNP strictly prohibit solicitation of monies or “lagay” from any person to facilitate transactions with them.

Notice is also being given to those people who intend to falsely represent themselves as officers, agents or representatives of any department or agency of the Philippine Government that the commission of such act is against the Revised Penal Code.

Further, “fixers” or any person facilitating speedy completion of transactions in exchange of monies shall be held liable under RA 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2009. (DILG/RJB/KCDA/PIA-NCR)
