QUEZON City, Philippines – Good news for public school teachers. According to the Teachers’ Dignity Coalition, public school teachers will receive double the amount of holiday bonus compared to what they received last year.
TDC chair Benjo Basas said that a teacher with a basic salary of P19,077 is expected to have the following perks and benefits: a minimum of P5,000 in performance-based bonus (PBB); a year-end bonus worth P19,077; P5,000 in cash gift and another P5,000 as productivity enhancement incentive (PEI).
However, teachers who stand to be given the maximum amount of P35,000 in PBB, can get the maximum amount of P64,077.
