QATAR, Middle East – The population of the Middle Eastern kingdom of Qatar reached 2.5 million due to the large number of foreign workers, according to the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics.Making up 90%, an overwhelming majority of the country’s workforce is made up of foreigners. Filipinos make the second largest group of foreign workers in Qatar which is the third most popular destination of overseas Filipino workers in the Middle East.
