QC government proposes ban on Pokemon Go

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Quezon City government is considering the banning of augmented-reality game Pokemon Go in government offices and schools.

Quezon City councilor Allan Butch Francisco filed a resolution banning the game in the aforementioned locations as well as prohibiting the game developer, Niantiq Inc., in placing Poke Stops and Lure Spots in the same places.

Francisco added that the resolution aims to prevent accidents. If the resolution is approved, the Quezon City Council will send a copy to Niantiq in order for the company to implement the measure.
