(Eagle News) — The Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office recommended no bail for Felix Nathaniel “Angel” Manalo on Wednesday, March 8, after it found probable cause for the charges of illegal possession of firearms filed by the police against him on Friday, March 3.

In his two-page resolution, Quezon City senior assistant state prosecutor Nilo Penaflor, also found probable cause for the filing of criminal charges against Victor Erano “Jem” Hemedez, Manalo’s nephew, who was found to be in possession of the unlicensed high-powered firearms and ammunition when police made arrests at no. 36 Tandang Sora on Thursday, March 2.

The arrests were made after two policemen who were part of the team serving a search warrant in the premises–P02 Henry Hular and P03 Joemarie Oandasan— were shot at by one of the property’s occupants, Jonathan Ledesma, a former soldier.

The police had secured the search warrant following a shooting incident that saw two security guards injured on Monday, February 27.

In the resolution approved by Deputy City Prosecutor Rogelio Velasco, Penaflor also ordered the filing of a direct assault with frustrated murder case against Ledesma, a Philippine Navy “deserter,” who was positively identified as the one who shot Oandasan and Hular with an M-16 rifle.

Penaflor ordered the release of the 24 other occupants–Lolita “Lottie” Hemedez, Joseph Sabbaluca, Katrina Rachel Manalo Hemedez, Jennifer Jane Wong Manalo, Jessica Nathania Wong Manalo, Felix Erano Wong Manalo, Miriam Moreno, Emmanuel Villanueva Vina, Robert Valencia Morales, Leonida Villamor Morales, Mercedez Leganada, Babylyn Casidsid Santiago, Ramon Gumba Palima, Mark Atup Soberano, Jojo Indek Moreno, Jomer Sanchez Moreno, Gener Valbuena Lumbang Jr., Errol Gerolaga Sumait, Joel Aziel Yuson Canta, Salvacion Cabillan, Catalina Cabillan Martinez, Joel Mesina Martinez, Arnel R. Arellano and Jim Jarold B. Fedelin. Their illegal possession of firearms case was referred “for further investigation.”

As of Wednesday night, the 24 were already released from the Quezon City Police District’s custody.
