(Eagle News)–A rainfall advisory has been raised over parts of Northern Luzon.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to occasionally heavy rains are being experienced over Cagayan (Gonzaga, Santa Ana and Sanchez Mira) due to the trough of “Rolly.”
“Rolly” has weakened and is now over the West Philippine Sea, with some areas under Signal No. 1.
PAGASA said meanwhile, light to moderate rains are expected over Dalupiri Island, Fuga Island, Abra (Lacub and Tineg), Apayao (Calanasan, Conner and Luna), Cagayan (Abulug, Alcala, Aparri, Baggao, Ballesteros, Buguey, Camalanuigan, Claveria, Gattaran, Lallo, Pamplona, Penablanca, Santa Teresita, Santo Niño and Santa Praxedes).
The weather bureau said these may persist for one to two hours.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards,” PAGASA said.
Residents along mountain slopes have also been cautioned against possible landslides and flashfloods.
