(Eagle News) — A rainfall advisory has been raised over parts of Northern Luzon and Visayas.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said light to moderate rains are being experienced over Calayan Island, Apayao (Calanasan, Luna and Santa Marcela), Cagayan (Abulug, Aparri, Baggao, Ballesteros, Buguey, Claveria, Gonzaga, Pamplona, Peñablanca, Santa Ana, Santa Teresita, Santa Praxedes and Sanchez Mira), Ilocos Norte (Adams, Dumalneg and Pagudpud), and Isabela (Maconacon) due to a low pressure area.
PAGASA said light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are expected over Leyte and Eastern Samar within two to three hours this time due to the easterlies.
The weather bureau said these conditions are being experienced in Southern Leyte and Bohol.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards,” PAGASA said.
Residents along mountain slopes were also advised against possible landslides and flashfloods.
