(Eagle News) — The red alert hoisted over the Luzon grid has been lifted.
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines made the announcement in a Facebook post on Thursday, April 11.
According to the NGCP, the grid was no longer under the alert as of 2:18 p.m.
It is, however, under a yellow alert from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., the NGCP said.
The red alert status means there is a generation deficiency.
A yellow alert means the reserves are less than the capacity of the biggest plant in Luzon.
