(Eagle News)—The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines hoisted red and yellow alerts over the Luzon grid on Monday, April 29.
The NGCP said the red alert, which means there is a generation deficiency, is in effect from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The yellow alert, on the other hand, is in effect from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The alert means reserve levels have dropped from the required levels.
Available capacity is at 10,830MW while peak demand is at 10,371MW.
“Details on the cause to be announced by the Department of Energy later in the day,” the NGCP said.
