QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Another milestone for E25 Records was achieved with the successful release recently of the original “Guerrero” soundtrack music.
The launch was successfully held on September 16, 2019 at the Eagle Broadcasting Corporation Atrium in Quezon City. It was also launched simultaneously in the US via live feed performances of artists Sarah Petty and Muze from the United States in Pasadena, California.
The event started around 10 a.m., Manila time, which was 8 p.m. in Los Angeles.
According to Ernie Magtuto Head of E25 Records, the record label aims to promote original music with positive values.
“Awit na may positibong values, mga awit na magpo-promote Christian values na ito’y may positibong pananaw at sana ay maisulong ito hindi lamang dito sa Pilipinas kundi maging sa ibat-ibang bansa. Sana matangkilik pa ito ng nakararami pang tagapakinig, mga music enthusiast,” Magtuto said.
Internationally acclaimed director Carlo Ortega Cuevas also performed the “Guerrero Dos” theme song “Tuloy Ang Laban,” along with rapper Rapido.
“Hindi na ito yung time para mapagod (This is not the time to be tired), kasi alam natin malapit na tayo doon sa victory (because we all know that victory is near), na sinasabi natin na malapit na tayo na matupad na yung goal natin.” (that we are now near the achievement of our goal), pag matupad yung dream natin (when we fulfill our dreams),” Cuevas explains.
According to Rapido, who composed and interpreted the original motion picture soundtrack, it was a blessing for him that his composition was chosen as the official soundtrack of the film “Guerrero.”
“One night only na ginawa namin yun. So natapos namin, in the morning napasok ko yung file kay Direk Carlo, so yun nagulat siya. Mismong araw na yun nag-decide siya, yan ang gamitin nating soundtrack. Sobrang blessed ako, part ako ng project na ito at siyempre pinaghugutan namin yung story before namin ginawa yung song,” Rapido said.
