RORO ship sinks off Southern Leyte

MANILA, Sept. 13 (PNA) — A roll-on/roll-off (RORO) vessel, the M/V Maharlika 2, sank off the waters of Southern Leyte Saturday afternoon after being battered by heavy waves triggered by Tropical Storm “Luis.”

Rescue operations are ongoing as of this posting.

The M/V Maharlika 2 came from San Ricardo, Southern Leyte and was headed for Surigao City. (PNA)
