QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Newly appointed Iloilo City chief of police, Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido, said that he will follow the rule of law in his new assignment.
Espenido said that part of his job was to verify the information that Iloilo City is the bedrock of drug trade in the Visayas region.
“I-prove natin kung gaano katotoo yung information na involved sila o hindi. Talagang ipaiiral natin kung alin ang totoong batas. Wala tayong kinatatakutan, ang sa atin, managot ang dapat managot, so ma-clear natin ang dapat ma-clear,” Espenido said in Net 25’s Radyo Agila interview.
Espenido also said that he is still waiting for the “go” signal to go to his new assignment, as welcomed the expression of support for his appointment.
