It is business as usual in the Sandiganbayan despite the dismissal from office of Justice Gregory Ong.
Atty. Renato Bocar, Executive Clerk of the Anti-Graft Court assured that cases being heard in the said court will not be affected, in particular that of the 4th division, where Ong served as chairman.
Justice Jose Hernandez of the Fourth Division will now stand as its chairman, while a replacement Justice will be taken from the other divisions to establish a quorum.
Once the decision of the Supreme Court becomes final, the Sandiganbayan’s Third Division will be among the anti-graft court’s divisions that will be affected. It is currently holding several pork barrel scam cases including that of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile.
