Sandiganbayan denies OSG appeal of order allowing Jinggoy Estrada to travel to US

(Eagle News) — The Sandiganbayan has denied the Office of the Solicitor General’s appeal of its decision allowing former Senator Jinggoy Estrada to travel to the United States.

As such, Estrada’s trip to the country from April 30 to May 30 for, among others, a speaking engagement with the US Pinoys for Good Governance, will push through.

In denying the OSG’s motion for reconsideration, the anti-graft court said the prosecution failed to present any proof to its claim that the invitation for Estrada to speak in the May 20 event had been falsified.

In his motion to travel, Estrada had included the invite signed by USPGG Michigan chapter head William Dechavez.
