(Eagle News) — The Sandiganbayan has granted a holiday furlough to former Senator Bong Revilla.
Apart from Revilla, his former chief of staff Richard Cambe was given a 10-hour furlough by the anti-graft court’s First Division.
In separate resolutions, the First Division said Revilla and Cambe could leave their detention cells in Camp Crame from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24.
The division said the two should shoulder all expenses that would have to be incurred to ensure their safety.
Revilla has been accused of receiving over P200 million in kickbacks under a scam that saw his pork barrel funds allegedly diverted to non-government organizations run by Janet Lim Napoles.
The Ombudsman said Revilla received the kickbacks through Cambe.
