(Eagle News) — Two presidential children took to their social media accounts to send their greetings to President Rodrigo Duterte, who marks his 73rd birthday on Wednesday.
“Happy Birthday Digong! good health paaarrteeey!” Davao Mayor Sara Duterte wrote in an Instagram post.
Former Davao Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, was more emotional, apologizing for whatever he said he may have done that might have given his father white hair in a Facebook post.
“Hindi madali ang maging ama sa pinaka-mabait mong anak..Sana dumating ang panahon na ipagmamalaki mo rin ako,” he said in the Visayan dialect.
He said that while he would never achieve what his father achieved, he would do his best to make the President proud.
“Pipilitin ko at ng mga kapatid ko na hindi ka mapahiya sa amin.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PA! I love you!!!” he said.
Special Assistant to the President Bong Go said the President would spend his birthday in his Davao home, surrounded by family.
