A Filipino convicted of killing a national of Saudi Arabia was beheaded Friday, according to a report from the Saudi interior ministry.
Carlito Lana (spelled as Karlito Nunez Lana in the Saudi Press Agency report) was beheaded on Friday, December 12.
The execution was carried out in Riyadh, according to an Agence France Press report.
Lana reportedly shot dead Saudi national Nasser al-Gahtani before running him over with a car, said the SPA news agency.
At least 80 foreigners have been reportedly executed in Saudi Arabia this year alone.
