SC does not see need to suspend judges allegedly involved in illegal drug trade

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Supreme Court does not see the need to place the four judges named by President Rodrigo Duterte as involved in illegal drug trade under preventive suspension.

According to SC Public Information Office Chief Atty. Theodore Te, the four are currently undergoing fact-finding and administrative investigation. Under the 1987 Constitution, only the Supreme Court has the administrative jurisdiction over all judges in the country.
