SC: Executive judges in areas severely affected by rains, floods may exercise discretion to suspend work today

(Eagle News)—Executive judges in areas “severely affected” by the continuous rains and flooding such as Marikina may exercise their discretion to suspend work.

This is according to Acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio, in a Twitter post on Monday, Aug. 13.

Carpio issued the announcement as rains continued to pound parts of the country, with two weather disturbances outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility enhancing the southwest monsoon.
