(Eagle News) — The Supreme Court on Tuesday denied Janet Lim Napoles’ petition questioning a Sandiganbayan decision that denied her petition for bail.
According to SC spokesperson Theodore Te, the Sandiganbayan did not “gravely abuse discretion” when it issued its Oct. 16 decision.
In the 378-page decision, the third division said there was strong evidence to keep Napoles in trial in connection with the alleged pork barrel scam.
This was contrary to Napoles’ claims the allegations against her were merely opinions and suspicions made by the prosecution through the supposed whistleblowers.
