(Eagle News) — The Supreme Court has reset anew oral arguments on the petition against the Philippines’ announced withdrawal from the International Criminal Court.
Instead of Aug. 14, they will be held on Aug. 28, the SC Public Information Office said.
The SC said it would release a resolution on the same on Tuesday, Aug. 14.
The postponement comes after the SC junked a petition filed by opposition senators for detained Senator Leila de Lima to represent them in the arguments.
The group has said it would file an appeal.
This is the third time the oral arguments on the ICC petition were suspended.
They were first scheduled on July 24, but these were reset to Aug. 7, and then to Aug. 14. Moira Encina
