MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) – The Supreme Court is expected to release its decision on the petition questioning the legality of President Rodrigo Duterte’s declaration of martial law in Mindanao tomorrow.
But according to sources, Associate Justice Mariano del Castillo had made an 83-page draft decision clearing Duterte from charges that he abused his authority when he made the declaration on May 23.
They said the High Court had found “sufficient factual basis” for the the proclamation because of the attacks of local terrorist groups in Marawi City.
