SC voting on Sereno quo warranto complaint set on May 11

(Eagle News) — The voting of the Supreme Court on the quo warranto petition which seeks to oust Chief Justice-on leave Maria Lourdes P.A. Sereno as the Chief Justice will be on May 11.

The new full court session was set about a week earlier than the original date of the vote on May 17.

The change in the schedule is to avoid leakage on the decision of the justices.

“It will leak on May 11 when all opinions are in. The vote is on May 17. Sereno will learn about it,” the source said.

Sereno is facing impeachment complaint in Congress due to her alleged failure to submit her Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth(SALN).
