Senator Serge Osmeña expressed his belief that Senator Grace Poe should not expect a favorable decision from the Supreme Court. Osmeña based his comment on the unanimous decision made by the three members of the Supreme Court that took part in the Senate Electoral Tribunal, which is an indication of how the SC will decide the case. Although the SET did not tackle the 10-year residency rule, it is clear in its decision that Senator Poe is not a natural-born citizen, which is one of the requirements for important government positions.
