MANILA, Philippines – According to its chairman, Senator Bongbong Marcos, the Senate Committee on Local Government will form a substitute bill to replace the draft Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) and incorporate much-needed amendments, including provisions regarding the expenditure of allotted funds as well as the mechanism for adding to its territory. Senator Marcos is confident that the new version of the BBL will be ready at the opening of the Senate session on July 27.
