QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Senator Richard Gordon said that conducting a Senate investigation on the Amnesty International report that the police allegedly paid assassins to kill drug offenders is just a waste of time and the people’s money.
Gordon also said that the report was mere hearsay with no concrete evidence.
“If anyone will come to me and present testimonial evidence or other solid evidence to back up an assertion, I will be the first one to say a hearing must be conducted. For to conduct a hearing based on hearsay is to expend precious government resources based on mere “tsismis,'” he said.
