MANILA, Philippines, May 26 (Eagle News) — The Senate passed on its third and final reading a proposed law giving financial assistance to students of private and public universities. Under the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education, intelligent and talented students from poorer economic backgrounds will receive subsidized tuition, free tuition and student loans.
