Senator JV Ejercito said he was “sad(dened)” by the resignation of Department of Transportation Undersecretary Cesar Chavez, noting that he was “one of the more passionate DOTr officials.”
“At least kay Usec. Chavez, alam niya na by now mga problema at kailangan gawin,” Ejercito said in a statement.
He said whoever would replace Chavez “may be back to zero” again, and will need “time to be acquainted and to know the problems.”
As such, he said he “expect(s) more delays and problems to arise the coming days.”
“I expect delays and more problems, especially may transition,” he said.
Chavez announced his resignation on Thursday, noting that much more could be done to address the problems hounding the Metro Rail Transit 3.
He said he did this “out of a simple sense of delicadeza.”
