(Eagle News) — Senator Gregorio Honasan posted bail in a local court in Laguna on Friday, a day after he was ordered arrested by the Sandiganbayan over the alleged misuse of almost P30 million in pork barrel funds.
Honasan posted a P60,000-bail for the two counts of graft in the sala of Executive Judge Teodoro Solis of Branch 25 of the Binan Regional Trial Court around 10 a.m.
The judge signed his release order.
Prior to this, the senator surrendered before the Binan City Police.
He was accompanied by his lawyer, Dennis Manalo.
The police took his mugshots, blood pressure and fingerprints.
Honasan is the fourth senator to be charged in connection with the alleged pork barrel scam.
Former Senators Jinggoy Estrada, Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., and Juan Ponce Enrile are currently on trial for this.Meanne Corvera, Eagle News Service
