QUEZON City, Philippines – Senator Franklin Drilon confirmed that Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, leader of PDP-Laban, will be the next Senate President. Drilon made the announcement after the Liberal Party made an alliance with the group of Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III. Drilon said that based on their agreement, Sotto will be the Senate majority floor leader while Drilon will be the Senate President Pro Tempore.
