Sereno: Other gov’t employees at risk of being removed from posts if I lose quo warranto case

(Eagle News) — Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno on Saturday, May 5, said other government employees were at risk of being removed from their posts if she was removed via a quo warranto petition.

Sereno issued the statement days before the Supreme Court was slated to vote on the petition filed by Solicitor General Jose Calida for Sereno’s alleged failure to submit her complete Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth, among others.

Reports said the SC would vote on May 11.

Sereno expressed optimism though that she would win the quo warranto case.

She said “good,” after all, triumphs over “evil.”

Sereno is also facing an impeachment complaint in Congress, which is slated to resume session later this month.
